Therapeutic & soothing
Tuina in Chinese is translated as “push’ and “pull”. Tuina body work is a modality of Traditional Chinese Medicine that addresses specific patterns of disharmony in the body by “pushing” and “pulling” on the muscle. This type of body work is widely known to reduce muscle tension, spasms, and stress. Human touch itself has been well documented to provide emotional and physical healing and is a great relief to the body by calming the nervous system.
Although body work affects the body as a whole, it particularly influences the activity of the musculoskeletal, circulatory, lymphatic and nervous systems. Tuina helps heal damaged muscle tissue, stimulates circulation, clears waste products, boosts the immune system and reduces pain and tension by stimulating endorphins and reducing stress hormones.
Tuina is a wonderful way to either prepare your body before or after acupuncture to enhance its effects especially for pain management.
It relieves a variety of disorders:
Constipation
Headaches
Migraines
Irritable Bowl Syndrom (IBS)
Premenstrual Syndrom (PMS)
Neck Pain
